Klaus Franken is promoting optimism regarding office projects. While the market is currently facing significant challenges—particularly as standardized tasks are increasingly being taken over by AI and many office spaces are coming under pressure—this trend cannot simply be offset by rising rents. At the same time, a look back at history shows just how adaptable the market is: The office has been declared dead on multiple occasions—for instance, with the advent of computers, during the internet boom, or most recently due to mobile communication. Yet each time, the world of work has reinvented itself.
