The demolition of the old existing building on the KöTower construction site is in full swing – the tower is currently shrinking by another storey every week. Right next door on Luisenstraße, we celebrated the Friedrichstadt neighborhood festival on Saturday together with residents and visitors. Under the motto “From our neighborhood – for our neighborhood”, residents and interested parties were cordially invited to a colourful mix of information stands, games, music and hands-on activities for young and old.

The communal coffee table in front of the Rheinkirche church was particularly enjoyable: many neighbours placed additional chairs and tables in front of the door, transforming the street into a large, convivial table.

At our Catella information stand, we served delicious ice cream from Düsseldorfer Eiszeit and were able to talk informally with interested neighbours and passers-by about the KöTower, which will have a lasting impact on the district.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and made the district even livelier! Especially to the Rheinkirche Düsseldorf for their initiative and commitment to the organisation. The KöTower team is already looking forward to the next neighbourhood festival!
