Next milestone for the KöTower: Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH and Laarakkers Rückbau und Recycling GmbH construct the excavation pit at Königsallee 106

The above-ground demolition is almost complete – the excavation pit can now be created. Once the tower has been dismantled, two basement levels will be removed and the excavation pit secured for the building construction.

The special civil engineering work will be carried out by Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH (West division). Züblin is forming a joint venture with J.H. Laarakkers Rückbau und Recycling GmbH to carry out the necessary underground demolition work.

Work on the special foundation engineering will start in just a few weeks so that the structural engineering of the new KöTower can begin in the new year. DGNB platinum certification is being sought for the demolition work and a platinum certificate is also planned for the building construction.

We are looking forward to the upcoming collaboration with a high-performance consortium at our side!
